The destabilizing effect of boundary slip on Bénard convection

We investigate the influence of slip boundary conditions on the onset of Bénard convection in an infinite fluid layer. It is shown that the critical Rayleigh number is a decreasing function of the slip length, and therefore boundary slip is seen to have a destabilizing effect. A modified predictor–corrector scheme for the two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation

A three-time level finite-difference scheme based on a fourth order in time and second order in space approximation has been proposed for the numerical solution of the nonlinear two-dimensional sine-Gordon equation. The method, which is analysed for local truncation error and stability, leads to the solution of a nonlinear system. To avoid solving it, a predictor–corrector scheme using as predictor a second-order explicit scheme is proposed. The procedure of the corrector has been modified by considering as known the already evaluated corrected values instead of the predictor ones. This modified scheme has been tested on the line and circular ring soliton and the numerical experiments have proved that there is an improvement in the accuracy over the standard predictor–corrector implementation. 高斯型空间光孤子相互作用的数值研究

 通过数值模拟的方法，对高斯孤子在对数型饱和非线性介质中的相互作用进行了研究，考查了两光束间的相对振幅和相对相位对其相互作用的影响。结果表明：高斯孤子之间的相互作用敏感地依赖于两光束间的相对振幅和相对相位。在不同的振幅差异范围内，光束间的主要作用交替地表现为相互排斥和相互吸引，并由于高斯孤子的不稳定性，导致了光束在碰撞后以一种尺寸周期性变化的呼吸模式传输。随着相对相位的增大，两光束间始终持续地表现出强烈的排斥作用，直到相对相位增加到一个2π周期之后。而且碰撞之后，光束也都以呼吸模式进行传输，其分离的角度越大，呼吸就越明显。     

强流脉冲离子束辐照靶及其喷发的数值研究

利用拟合实测的TEMP Ⅱ型加速器磁绝缘二极管(MID)电压波形及其焦点附近束流密度曲线，建立了Gaussian分布模型，据此计算了与靶作用的离子的能量及数量，采用Monte Carlo(MC)方法计算了沉积在靶内的能量.并以此作为热源，与流体动力学(HD)模型相结合，对不同的靶状态采用相应的状态方程，模拟计算了靶内压力演化情况; 同时对烧蚀产生的等离子体采用理想气体状态方程, 结合HD方程组, 模拟计算了喷发过程中压力的空间演化过程. 关键词： 强流脉冲离子束 Gaussian模型 HD方程 数值研究     

一维光学格子孤子的传输特性及控制研究

利用解析和数值方法研究了在具有横向折射率周期性调制的克尔型非线性介质中光学格子孤子的传输，得到了孤子参数的演化方程以及格子孤子的形成和稳定传输的条件.结果表明：当光束的入射角小于某临界角度时，光束可被类似波导形式的路径俘获而稳定传输，该临界角随折射率调制周期、调制深度的增加而增大，且光束越窄临界值越大.此外，线性空间啁啾虽然对光束传输的中心位置没有任何影响，但会导致光束发散从而破坏格子孤子的形成和稳定传输，对此提出了采用特定功率取值来补偿啁啾作用从而形成格子孤子的方案. 关键词： 光孤子 光学格子 光传输 矩方法
